WITS
24th Anniversary Banquet
A
deep commitment to achieving, supporting and associating with
excellence. A special willingness to give. A dedication to the
highest standards of personal conduct. That’s what the Wisconsin
Institute for Torah Study has found so often in its wonderful
and generous supporters.
And
that is what WITS honors as it undertakes its 24th Anniversary
Banquet and Graduation, to be held on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at
the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee. That event will offer two proofs
of the quality of WITS’ work and the merit of its supporters:
one is the students themselves, who will be completing their high
school work that day. The other is our honorees, Donald and Barbara
Grande.
The
Grandes have been pillars of WITS’ support since the founding
of the yeshiva. In recent years, Don has served as past president
and Chairman of the Board of Governors of WITS and as the central
figure in navigating the financial path of the yeshiva. His dedication
and self-sacrifice on behalf of the yeshiva and his insistence
on doing things to the highest standards deserve the richest appreciation
as models for us all. And Barbara, a woman of uncommon grace and
kindness, has been his extraordinary partner in what the two of
them have done on behalf of WITS and many other valuable Jewish
causes.
The
banquet is an important opportunity for you to join us, not only
in honoring the Grandes and strengthening WITS, but honoring the
values that both the Grandes and WITS demonstrate. We hope you
will be generous in responding to this event with a commitment
to join us on June 3rd and to be part of the Tribute Book we are
creating for the occasion. Treat this as a way to support a great
institution. Treat this as a way to make a statement about what
we value most. The Journal ad deadline is Friday,
May 14. Feel free to call Mrs. Rae Zachai at (414)
963-9317 ext. 31, to place an ad or with any questions. You can
also fax your ad copy to (414) 963-1415.
